Caversham Wildlife Park

Today we went to the Caversham Wildlife Park.  I held a snake with my cousins and I fed the kangaroos.  I even got to see a joey come out of the mother kangaroo.  I stroked a koala - it felt really soft.  And a wombat.  I saw an eagle too.  My favourite part was the wombat show.

Hope it stops raining in Ashburton soon.

Happy Holidays

Mrs Moore and I would like to say thank you for a great first term. We have enjoyed our term and so happy with the progress you are all making with reading, writing and maths. Make sure you keep practising those skills over the holidays!

Drew's holiday in Perth, Australia

Hi Everyone

I hope you're having fun at school.  I've been having a cool holiday in Australia.  It was SO HOT when we got here!  The plane ride was long, and took 7 hours, but I had fun watching movies and playing games.  We've been staying with my cousins in Perth. Lucas is 10 and Georgia is 8.  They took us to Adventure World which was really really fun.  I went on the roller coaster, free-fall, the pirate ship, bumper boats, race cars, and the cup rides.  There was also a water park.  We went to the beach and I fell over 3 times in the big big waves.  We've been kayaking on the Canning river, and ski-biscuiting, and I saw a dolphin.  Our cousins have a dog called Molly and she's a Kelpie (a real Australian dog).  Today we went to Fremantle and played at the beach with our other cousins.  Tomorrow we're going to the animal park.  We fly home on Saturday night and we get back to New Zealand at 5am on Sunday morning - we'll be tired!

Mihi Weaving

Yesterday some wonderful parents helped us with the mammoth task of weaving our Mihis. Thank you for the help. We are very proud of our efforts.make sure you come into the classroom to see the finished results.

It was a hot sunny day and I turned on the hose and I squirted my mum and I squirted my dad. I ran away. "Naughty boy," said mum. I laughed.
