Matariki celebrations

Tomorrow the children from our local kindergarten are coming to school to celebrate with us the Maori new year - Matariki.

Last week we made them pictures of the group of stars known here as The Seven Sisters or Matariki.

Matariki Pictures for kindy

First we colored a piece of paper and maked shore that it did not have any white spasis. Then we panted over top. Then we scratched out star shapes on it. Then we put it into a laminator. Then we were done. By Theo
